*******Adopting Pending ************
Ziola is doing very well and has surpassed her illnesses. Her leg is healing nicely and she is now pending adoption.
1 May 2006 - Ziola has been diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder that is causing her to lose weight and not eat as well as getting her sick. She will need to be placed with a family that is home most of the time so she can be at home with someone. Her foster family is working on crate training her but this is proving to be nearly impossible because of the seperation anxiety which causes her to panic when you leave the room.
27 Apr 06 - Due to the overwhelming number of local applications for Ziola, we will not be looking at long-distance applicants (outside Colorado and Wyoming), if you would like to be approved for a future rescue, please apply now and get on the waiting list.
Ziola is a beautiful seal/white 1 year old female. She came into rescue with a broken leg that the owners wanted her to be euthanized over.
Now she is on the mend now but she will not be available for adoption for several weeks until the leg is completely healed.
Ziola is very very tiny, even for IG standards. She weighs 6lbs with the cast on and is only about 12" at the shoulder. She will not be placed in any home with small children due to her very fragile size and bone structure. We are also listing her as a 'special needs' placement due to her fragile size.
Ziola is friendly and likes to cuddle with people and is working on gaining a little weight since she is underweight. She will need to be spayed and get shots prior to placement as well.
If you would like to donate to her care since her vet bills are going to be fairly large, send donations to:
