Biryani is a female roborovski dwarf hamster who came to the rescue in March of 2023 alongside two other robos due to her owner's child losing interest. She was approximately 4 months old upon intake.
Robo hammies are known for being super fast, active, and not great with handling. Biryani is not fond of people and has bitten her foster mom before, and mostly comes out at night when we are not around. Her foster mom is working to tame her, but robos are generally more independent and less interested in people than other hamster species. She is a gorgeous girl though! Any robo lover would be happy to call her their own.
Biryani will need a home who is comfortable with a hamster they may not be able to handle much, if at all. Robos CAN make a great first hamster so long as you are prepared for the temperament and behavior of a robo.
We are able to meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis or Faribault, MN for adoptions. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
