Vulcan

Meet Vulcan! Vulcan is a lovely boy who came to us in late March of this year. He was found abandoned by an apartment dumpster in Wilmington. We believe that he is around 6 months old. When he first came to us he was skittish but has begun to open up to people. He is currently in the care of a foster who has been working on socializing him. When he is not snuggled up in his cage he enjoys watching them and he will come out of his hammock when his name is called or when he hears food. He has improved significantly from when he first came to us and has opened up a lot. He will now come to the cage door when it is opened and will sometimes lick people! (Licking is a way some rats show affection) He doesn't like getting picked up but once you have him he is sweet. Currently Vulcan is a single rat and is not in a group. He seems to not get along with other rats and is better off as a single. He is very sweet and friendly to people, especially those who give him treats. ----------------- SBRR policy requires that rats must be adopted in pairs unless they are being added to an existing mischief of rats or have been deemed unsuitable to live with other rats. Please bring a suitable carrier to bring home your new friends. Adoption fees for rats are $30/pair and $5 for every additional rat.
